T-Shirt Distribution

  • New studentw will receive their T-shirts throughout the week.
  • Parents come into the studio office to pick up T-shirts and provide a signature of receipt.

Rehearsal

  • Date: Saturday, October 19
  • Location: Clayton studio, 100 Cunningham Lane Suite 104 Clayton NC
  • Rehearsal schedule:
    • 5pm- PreK performers and 3-4 yr old classes
    • 5:30pm- 5-6 yr old classes
    • 6pm- 7-10 yr old classes & Beg/Int Acro & Silk classes
    • 6:30pm-11 & up classes & Int/Adv Acro & Silk classes

Performance

  • Date: Saturday, October 26
  • Performance Time: 12:30pm-1:00pm.
  • Arrival Time: 12:00 pm at meeting location
    • Please allow at least 15-20 mins to find parking and time to walk to our meeting point.
    • BE ON TIME!
  • Meeting location:
    • Town Square at The Clayton Center, 101 W Main St, Clayton, NC
    • Landmark: This is the big grassy area across the street from the white building on Main Street. Also, there is Pawn Shop on Main St at the corner adjacent to the grassy area.
    • While Main St is closed due to the Festival, you will also see a stage on the grassy area as well
    • We will meet at Stage Left of the grassy area
      • This means, if you are looking at the stage from the audience point of view, it will be your right.
      • Look for the Dance Ascension shirts! 🙂
  • Performance Dance Attire:
    • Dance Ascension T-shirts and black bottoms. Black bottoms can be black shorts, black leggings, black pants (able to dance/perform in)
    • Depending on the weather, you may want your child to wear a black long sleeved shirt or black turtleneck underneath their short sleeved shirt.
  • Performer Chaperones:
    • We have wonderful VOLUNTEERS that assist our staff to make sure performers are safe and cared for. This is a VOLUNTEER position. Please be respectful to their time and effort ensuring child safety and care during our performance times.
    • Our parent volunteers have received a background check and approved by staff.
    • Parent volunteers follow the specific directions given to them by Dance Ascension’s Owner/Artistic Director, Ashley O’Quinn
    • All performers are SIGNED IN and SIGNED OUT by parents/legal guardians of performers
      • Each parent/legal guardian signing in/signing out their performer must have a valid driver’s license/government issued identification and on our list for signing in/signing out of the performer.
      • If you have a grandparent wishing to sign in/sign out your performer, please send us an email to add them to the list of approved parent/guardian for sign in/sign out. Make sure they have their ID
        • Parent/legal guardian WITHOUT ID will not be allowed to leave with a performer.
      • Child safety is our top priority and each child must be signed in/signed out by parent/legal guardian or approved (through written permission) sign in/sign out adult.
      • Performers will be signed out on Stage Right (left side from audience point of view)
  • Performance Time!
    • Performers will enter on Stage Left (audience point of view is your right) and Exit Stage Right
    • Performers may be picked up on Stage Right
    • We do encourage performers and their families to stay and support our other performers. After all, we’re DA Fam!!
    • If your performer is in more than one performance, please allow parent volunteers to take them back to Stage Left for line up.
